For many of us chalk drawing is one of the first ways we get to make our marks in a public space. It’s immediate, open, often collaborative and just plain fun! We are hoping to capture some of that same energy and sense of discovery at Sketching in Practice in Vancouver on June 24th. Check out our call for proposals if you would like to join us!
(We don’t have any chalk drawing activities booked, AS OF YET, but we’ll be keeping you updated here either way. ;))
Celebrating Pink Shirt Day today, I thought this was an appropriate image to share. And it was also the first one that comes up in a CC licensed search for chalk drawing so…
Happy to announce our call for proposals is officially open! We are accepting submissions until April 15th, and very excited to get the ball rolling. While the rest this site is still a bit ‘light’ on content, we’ve been scrambling to get the call form working and can now begin to ramp up our promotion activities. Look forward to more announcements and context to be posted regularly.

We have booked space and set a date! June 24th in Vancouver BC is set to host a new conference on drawing in its many forms. As a means to teach and convey ideas, to make art and express oneself, and to design and collaborate on new innovations.
We are shooting to get our Call for Proposals out NEXT WEEK. so stay tuned to this space for updates. But for now, hold the date! June 24th! 🙂
